And possibly chocolate. I want to combat the negativity and stigma that still surrounds the gaming community, and starting this blog is a major way I can do that. So I want to share the positive aspects of gaming: how they can evoke never-before-felt emotions from its players how the music can move us in ways unimaginable and unthinkable how they can take us away to faraway lands unknown and unexplored how the characters we learn about are human - just like us. (I’ll give you a moment to read that again…)īut I still see headlines that slam video games, and it’s so disheartening to hear that as a lifelong gamer. I studied psychology in college and if there’s one big thing I took away, it’s that CORRELATION DOES NOT EQUAL CAUSATION. The other reason why I started this blog is because I still see the “video games cause violence” BS around the media, which is completely untrue. The community aspect is really important to me, and I hope that at the end of the day, I made someone’s day a little bit brighter. For one, it’s a great way for me to share what I love about gaming and the gaming community, what you love about your favorite games, and how awesome it is to share your passions with others worldwide. I want to share with you exactly why I started this blog.
